Grass is a new take on an old idea: to gather with community and friends and get the fingers a-pickin' and the feet a-stompin'. Each member puts his or her voice in the mix to infuse the traditional, spiritual, and bluegrass tunes with new energy and relevance. Their treatment of oldtime standards and prolific originals transcends folk, bluegrass, gospel, and blues.

Family: Poace

Genus: Transcendent

Species: Grass

Description:

A variety of lineages contribute to this hearty strain: Will Solomon on mandolin and lead guitar, Jesse Selman on the Baritone Ukelele, Nick Polys on banjo, and Kat Polys on vocals and guitar. With each member fully vocal, Grass yields a fresh treatment of Mountain, Old-Tyme, Bluegrass, and Gospel tunes along with prolific originals. Flavors range from trains to whiskey, storms to sweethearts, Earth to angels. So sweet, you'll stomp your feet! Best if sown outdoors.
